Set between Garvagh and Coleraine, architects Slemish Design Studio have designed a modern house to suit our clients needs.
Brief
To design a modern house that can cater for a young family to move into. 3 Bedrooms & open plan living. Eco credentials were high on the list for our client, who wanted a “cheap” house to run.
This site had gained planning approval a few years ago. With the owner putting foundations in place to secure the site for future sales. From this we made an planning application for a replacement dwelling. Keeping this in mind, and from talking to the local planning council, we made an application for a replacement dwelling under PPS21.
The planning application was smooth from the outset, thanks to the design we came up with and our early discussions with Planning NI. When it came to our design and the knowledge of our client, we came up with a design that helped tick all the boxes of the brief. A modern open plan living kitchen and dining area.
